Pyrenean WineBasque flag
The Basque country is beautiful, nestled partly in France and partly in Spain including the foothills of the Pyrenees. And hidden in one Pyrenean valley is the wine region of Irouleguy.
Irouleguy is awash with boutique vineyards, all based in this postcard perfect valley. We tasted many, and have great pleasure in introducing you to a fine red from the Mourguy family who run the vineyard, and a donkey trekking business, and a white wine to make up the other half of the case from the local wine co-operative.logo of Domaine Mourguy
This red is a blend of the tanat grape and a small amount of the better-known cabernet sauvignon giving it its unique flavour. We think you’ll love the smooth balanced red on its own or with food – we did.
The white is a refreshing wine perfectly good for an everyday drinker! It has a Basque name, a Basque label, and of course a Basque flavour.

Cahors Wine
Half way between Bordeaux and Toulouse runs the Lot River, right through the Cahors wine region. A beautiful part of France full of history, bastide towns, ancient castle, and lots of vines!
The Will's Wine team spend a lot of time in this part of France, and love nothing more than drinking local wine in the local sunshine.
We have selected two great wines - one red and one white - from two local vineyards. Both are made by local French teams, dedicated to producing quality above all else.

Alain Gayraud the proprietor of Chateau Lamartine is dedicated to fine wine. He makes a very good quality top end wine, showing that he knows how to produce the best. Check out some of his other recommended wines at www.expressions-terroir.com
